The Paul Mitchell Experience

As a professional Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist I have been asked by a few schools to come in and do some educational classes. Paul Mitchell the School Louisville had asked me to come in and teach a class over makeup application and different looks and when to use which looks. This was not my first experience with Paul Mitchell I previously had the experience teaching a class in Louisville as well as in Orlando, FL. The future professionals of Paul Mitchell are amazing!!! I get inspired every time I visit the school because all the future professionals have so much passion and want to be involved with anything they can do creatively.

While teaching the seminar I invited them to ask me as many questions as they wanted and that is what I was there to answer. We talked about several tips and tricks that can be done by the professional artist. We talked a lot about film production as well as print work. I expressed the importance of knowing your products and not limiting yourself to using just one brand because that makes you one dimensional. I wrote down several of the questions because I wanted to touch base with them in my blog...and I invite them as well as anyone to email me any questions they may have!

One of the 1st questions I was asked was what is so special about HD makeups that have been coming out and when should I use them. 1st let me explain Hi-def makeup it originally was designed for film and television. It provides a flawless, picture perfect skin and it is invisible to the 6x magnification hi-def camera. Photocramtic pigments react with all light types..the result is flawless perfection behind the camera or to the naked eye on the street. High Definition primer, foundation, and powder work together to diffuse pores, smooth out skintone, and reflect natural and artificial light. Use this three-step technique to give skin an airbrushed finish—at every angle, in every light but done with the magic of your makeup brush. So in closing...I hope if you are doing a shoot or going out and looking for a flawless look even if its for everyday consider using a Hi-definition makeup.
