We all want to look like the beauties in the magazines but where do we even begin. Great looking makeup starts with great looking skin! But when we stroll down the cosmetic aisles at sephora, or Ulta, or Walmart we being to notice a trend....there are 5 million different skincare products to pick from so where do you start? We as consumers tend to gravitate to what is popular instead of what our needs may really be to help our skin. So I am going to talk about a line that I feel that proves itself over and over, and that brand you ask? Its Dermalogica.


With Dermalogica you are never going to find mineral oil or Lanolin in their products. Both these ingredients can affect certain skin types such as oily skin or a person with rosacea. They have never taken part in animal testing and the other great thing about dermalogica is that it is only sold where professional consultations and professional treatments are performed. Dermalogica has become the number one choice among skincare professionals. With only being able to purchase this at specific locations you can get the feedback you need from the professionals whenever your skin goes through a change.


Skin changes every 3 years...which is why you may have noticed your T-zone is oilier that what it used to be. So with dermalogica its like having your own little dermatologist in a bottle. Now let's talk about some of their products more specifically:


Like with most lines now dermalogica gives you a basis of what you need. There is cleansers, toners, exfoliants, moisturizers, masques, concentrated boosters, targeted treatments, and eye treatments.


With dermalogica you get the opportunity to do some skin mapping to find out what exactly your needs are. Because as we all know not one person is the same and our skin will have different needs too.
One of my favorite picks in the line is the Multi-Active Toner..its amped up with Lavender so it is going to be very calming even to the most finicky of skin types.
It's also great to use while flying it refreshes the skin and gives it back its plump alive appearance.

Another personal favorite of mine is the solar defense booster spf30 I love using this product when I am on set and know my model or actress is going to be shooting outside. Solar defense booster can be mixed with your moisturizer or favorite makeup. This product fights against UVA & UVB.
